Hallo.I want to connect an AB plc (SLC 5/03) to a PC, but the computer is 120 meters away from the plc. I connect a laptop to the plc with rs232 port without a problem. What cable , and protocol should i use to make a connection over 100m?

Since the RS232 spec says 50 feet is the max, I would get myself two RS232 to RS485 converters and run the bulk of the drop between them.

Use the DH485 port on your SLC5/03 and with a 1761-NET-AIC build a DH485 network.
