I'm planning on adding Moxa EDS-400a or 500a switches around a plant (configuration is shown in attached image). I'm thinking the wireless link (which has not yet been installed) will be blocked unless a line is broken and needs to use this path. I need to know if a) this will work using Moxa's TurboRing protocol and b) if there are any considerations on creating a wireless link

thanks

Why wireless? What is the distance between the two wireless points? How many pairs of fiber are between the backbone switches? If you want redundancy and you have more than a single pair in the fiber run, you can jumper one pair from first switch to the last switch. This would require jumpers at each fiber drops. This will give you the redundant ring, but the physical path could cause an issue if the entire fiber cable is cut. I have done this in several plants that had three pair fiber and several switches.

I have some wireless but not on anything critical or a backbone.
