Allen Bradley 9300-RADES Modem

Anyone ever encountered an A-B Ethernet modem that wouldn't answer an incoming phone call? Any suggestions?

The earlier RADES were very sensitive to a noisy phone line. A firmware update help to resolve that, but if you are talking about a remote application you cannot connect to, that does not help you at the momement.

Thanks curly. This was a new install of "new old stock" so I had the opportunity to do the firmware update. Rockwell advised me to update to the latest firmware, which I did do...but no luck. I am going to try it today on "known good" lines. When a call was coming in, you could hear it at the modem, but it sounded very rough. The AA light would go off briefly like it was going to answer...and a couple of rings after that were silent, but then the AA came back on and the ringing continued.
