I don't work with Allen Bradley alot and just need to know equivalent modbus addressing for integers...Can someone tell me modbus addressing for the following.

N11:0

N11:16 for Length of 9

Thanks

Hi,

N11:0 would be considered a single integer address on the Modbus side (e.g. 40001). It is also possible to address this at BIT level - N11:0/0 would be 40001.0

The other reference is just reading or writing a range of integer addresses. So the start address is N11:16 and will then read a block of 9 integers)

More information would be needed to help you further with addressing (Master/Slave etc.) and the types of FUNCTION instructions you will be using (01/03/06 etc.)

Regards,

Rob

For another take, to set up, let's say a Micrologix 1100, to be a Modbus Server, the programmer will designate certain data files, in your case we'll presume the N11 data file, to be addressable s a group of 'Modbus' registers. Only the data files set up by the programmer have Modbus addresses.
