Allen Bradlly drive comunication

Hi ! Grettings of day ,
can anybudy suggest me how to comunicate Allen Bradlly power flex drive ? which software it requred and is it free or paid ?

Jamadar,

There are 2 ways to communicate to a powerflex drive.

The first is using the RSLogix 5000 software package. To do this over ethernet will require the drive to have a 22-CommE module fitted.

The other is to use drive executive.

I know that RSLogix requires a license but I am not sure about drive executive.

If you have a license for Rs5000, It allows you to run Drive Exec as well.

However, you can talk to the drives using any number of different methods.
Simple digital i/o w/ or w/out analog. profibus, Modbus, Controlnet, Devicenet, Serial, Ethernet, Rs485, etc..
All depends on the drive and the comm modules avail for it.

Drive Tools or RSNetWorx.either is OK.

You can also use the AB Anaconda module that plugs into the port on the bottom of the drive. (1203-USB)
