So this is what I've discovered about CLX v19 and v20 after working with several processor and CLX versions:
Compatibility:
L61: v19, v20
L71: v20
L72: v19, v20
Speed with motion instructions:
L61 with v19: fast
L61 with v20: slow
L72 with v19: fast
L72 with v20: very fast
It's unfortunate that the L71 isn't compatible with CLX v19, so we've been going to L72 processors for v19 compatibility (decreases compatibility issues on the dozens of L61/L72 processors in the plant). Once all of the L61 processors are gone (probably a few years), we will move up to newer CLX versions.
