Hello,
I have a COMPACTLOGIX 5370 and a PV800 (2711R-T7T) in a panel. When I power cycle the panel the PV800 display boots up before the PLC and generates about 20 communication error messages for every tag that I manually have to OK on the display in order to clear them. Everything works once the messages are cleared. Is there a way to have these messages clear automatically? I don't want to add a delay on-timer to the pv800 and i don't want to completely disable comm alarm messages either.

Welcome to the PLCTalk forum community !

I don't use the PV800's often, but on the similar FactoryTalk View ME software the pop-up [DIAGNOSTICS] display can be disabled from appearing automatically. You can still get to it by opening the screen manually, but it doesn't pop up and obscure the rest of the display at startup. Look for that configuration option.
