Hi guys,

I've a field instrument (actuator) using 24V AC, 0-10V.

The terminal connection as below:
Terminal 1 = 24VAC
Terminal 2 = 24VAC Com
Terminal 3 = Com (jumper with terminal 2)
Terminal 4 = 0 to 10V

The Analog module I'm using is Siemens S7-300, as per below link.

6ES7331-1KF02-0AB0 SM331, 8AI, 13BIT

Can the Siemens module, suitable for this actuator?

Thanks guys.

No, you need an AO for an actuator.

Also the suggested I/O is rated for ATEX and hazardous areas. Is it really necessary? Costs$

It would help if you could post make and model of actuator (or data sheet).

Karsten is correct. If we are to assume you will control the actuator with this 0-10VDC - and as moggie says, we could really use the actuator data sheet to know that for sure - no, you need an Analog Output card. On the other hand, if we assume you are monitoring a 0-10VDC feedback from the actuator, then yes, the card you have selected is suitable.
