hello everybody, i found some taping oil on my slc5/03 , the outside off the unit and little on the inside , i know oil is dielectric, i did wipe it and now i'm afraid it will cause damage to the unit.

two possible issues with some tapping oils.
1 - Some, I think most, Tapping Oils are water soluble so they are not good for electronics
2 - people commonly dip drills and taps into the oil so it may also contain fine pieces of metal

I would - the non residual type (not 5-56)
BUT - power down and make sure the runoff is away from the PCB's
