We are using Allen bradley 1397 Drive with "scanport" and SLC 5/04 and scanner module 1203-GD1 for communication with drive.

SLC 5/04 <---> 1203-GD1 <----> 1397 DRIVE

Now we want to replace 1397 by any other make of Drive Which is not having "Scanport" How we can do the retrofit.

Please advice immediately if any one know the solution.

Regards

It is better to post this in the main Forum instead of in this "test post" area.

SCANport is a Rockwell Automation proprietary technology and there are no third-party drives that have that type of interface. It is partially compatible with Rockwell's new "DPI" protocol.

Because you are using an SLC-500 I would install a 1747-SDN DeviceNet scanner and buy a drive equipped with a DeviceNet interface.
