Dear All,

Please I am having a challenge upgrading an E3 plus relay 193-EC3 (9-45 Amps) to 193-EC3 (18-90 Amps).
I doing this using a 193-DNENCAT via ethernet web browser.
The device is node 1 under the DNENCAT and I have assigned a name to it under the device identity.
The challenge now is electronic key mismatch error.
Anytime I try to remove the existing 9-45amps relay from the scanlist and save/configure I get an error.
‘’An error occurred while auto configuring the scan list’’
‘’Could not save data because there is an active class1 connection’’
Even if I remove the devicenet plug from the E3 plus relay, it gives me the same error again.
Please can you assist on how to go about it.

Thanks,

What is the address of the 193-DNENCAT? Just interested :)

On my devicenets, address 1 is normally the scanner and the devices start at address 2.

If there is a PLC scanning the Devicenet, you need to turn off the RUN bit (not the PLC Running bit, the Devicenet Scanner RUN bit) before the class 1 connection is stopped.

Class 1 connection is for I/O. Class 3 is for messages.

Hope this helped!

Hello Thingstodo,

The 193-DNENCAT has been assigned an IP address 192.168.69.164.
If i click on the properties of the scanner in studio 5000 i/o config, there is an inhibit module section, where you can inhibit the module.
i cannot see the devicenet scanner running bit.
