Can a Siemens 555-1104 PLC support Siemens Simatic S7 Ethernet interface protocol? If so, what model of Siemens Ethernet interface module would be required?

Thanks,
V. Pittman

Hello Mr. Pittman;

You can use a 505-CP1434-TCP module from Siemens in your 555 rack. It supports send/Recieve interfaces (along with TCP/IP and UDP connections) that allows easy connection to CP343-1/443-1.
A FAQ on this subject is available on Siemens' support website;
http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&changelang=true&aktprim=0&siteid=cseus&lang=en

search for Entry ID: 22299588

Control technology also has a CP2572 TCP module for the 505 family (you will find they have everything that Siemens offers, and more, for the 505 processors). It also supports Send/Recieve interfaces.
Have a look here:

Hope this helps,
Daniel Chartier
