FDL communication between CP342-4 and S5 95U with L2 port

We have changed a S5-95U/L2 with a S7-314C/CP342-5 and can not get the communication running.Using the standard FC5 an FC6 and can see that the status words is toggling between 8181h/8o81h and 81c5/80c5.In the code evaluation of the Fc's, the error no.stops at 81c4/80c4.
Has anyone seen that before.

From what I recall L2 and L2/DP (Profibus) are not the same

I know that. The S5 and S7 are communicating on FDL basis and I have done that before, but never seen that error message.That's my problem.
