FX Communication

I would like to communicate with some Yaskawa(Omron,Magnetek,are the same drives with different names)drives via a Mitsubishi fx plc.Has any one had experience of writing ladder code for serial communication?I have a description of the drive protocol and experience with programming but not with serial comms.Any Idea where I could get sample code or more information?Any help would be appreciated.

The key to serial communications with an FX is the RS instruction. The basic instruction is in manual JY992D88101 which you can also view and/or download at the same site.
