get major fault codes controllogix

i need to obtein type and cod by fault in a controllogix i am try to use at gsv instructions but i can´t any informations could some one help me

There is a lot of good information in the ordinary Instruction Set Reference for the GSV instruction, but even better is the Logix 5000 Controllers Major, Minor and I/O Fault Programming Manual.

a) In RSLogix, go to Help > Instructions Help. Search for GSV/SSV Objects.

b) Download the Logix5000 Controllers General Instructions Reference Manual, and read page 227 to 271.

Keep in mind that if there has been a Major Fault, none of the instructions in the user program, including the GSV, will be able to execute.

That programming manual includes some useful information on how to implement logic in the Controller Fault Handler task.
