I have a machine which has 1 keyence optical sensor (digital output) , 3 servo motors (Two rockwell MPL series motors and one rockwell TLY motor) and an Allen Bradley PanelView 1000 HMI. My question is how I can know that the CompactLogix PLC can handle 3 servo motors and 1 HMI.

1. Ask somene next to you who has experience.
2. Ask an application engineer at your Rockwell vendor.
3. Ask here.

LOL thanks for the reply. I am doing #3 now
I just want to see whether anyone in here would know any keyword that I should search in the manual.

Refer to the CompactLogix Selection Guide.

Before anyone here can help you, you need to give us more details of the PLC and the drives. There are at least 8 different types of CompactLogix controllers off the top of my head.

Older style servo drives were controlled by SERCOS communications, where as newer ones are Ethernet/IP.

Right I should read the literature.

Btw,

I will use Ethernet and I will need to buy the servo drivers too.
TYL motor need to do two position only, so any compatible driver can do
#1 MPL motor will need current control. I need to give a fix amount of force to push an object
#2 MPL motor need to connect a driver with interpolation because I need to read 100k+ pulse per rotation. In other words, it needs to be connected to one of the following ultra3000, Kinetix350 servodrives, Kinetix6000, Kinetix6200, or Kinetix6500.
