Hi Guys

I have a issue here, it's a new remote chassis for the plant, and it is comunicating with the CPU via controlnet, and I don't have the CNB/E module installed on my rslogix 5000 (this is the module that arrived with the new cubicle). How do I proceed to install it ???

Best regards
Guilherme

PS: The Rslogix installed is v13

Welcome to the Forum!

I haven't used the CNB, but my understanding is all the I/O has to be scheduled with RSNetworx for ControlNet. So, you will need that. Start with the CNB Manuals until someone with more experience comes along to help you.

thank you for the manuals and for your help, but what I have to do is install a new module called CNB/E. In the rslogix the I have here, this module doesn´t exist, It just have the following modules CNB/D, CNB/C. Without the correct module I cannot comunicate with the new remote chassis.

I did not see anything specific to the CNB/E, but you are welcome to have a look.

The other issue I think you will have, is there will not be native support for the CNB/E in V13. That is a pretty old Firmware, with the latest being V20. Normally, when you install a Card you pick the highest Revision Selection possible, and it works fine. I am not sure if this will be the case here.

The CNB/E is just a newer Revision of the CNB Card. However, it may be that you will have to Upgrade your PLC Firmware Revision to get any new features added, if any.
