Hi, it's me again asking for help here to make me understand more on PLC.

I've been reading about the MATH function and MOV function, yet I can't really understand how does it work and what kind of application these functions being used on.

So, I wish and hope there are men and women out here willing to explain about this function in a very, very concise and specific about MATH and MOV, somehow if its possible, about some function called the COMPARE function.

Thank You so very much in advance.

Sorry, but you fail to give us the most important information about your question: what brand and type of PLC are you talking about?

What do you mean by the MATH function? Or do you mean math functions in general? MOV simply takes your data in one address and then places it in another.

Ex.

Say I have the value 3300 in address 100. I use the MOV function to put it into address 2200.

100: 3000 ---> MOV ---> 2200: 3000

Does that make sense?

I use this on my input for the same PLC. This way I always have the same input address but I can manipulate the new one I created in the MOV function.
