I should have said...
To suggest that understanding how to READ an electrical schematical implies understanding how to READ ladder logic is wrong.
I says this for exactly the reasons that have been pointed out by Ron, Jim, Peter and Goody.
They have clearly indicated that you can't simply jump in a look at the ladder code as an Electrical Schematic - which is exactly my point.
