messaging between Allen Bradley to Schneider

Hi,

We have an existing ControlLogix Processor (Rockwell PLC) and we want to replace it with either an quantum or Unity Processor (Schneider PLC) but want to keep the existing PLC, So now looking a way to Communicate between those 2 PLCs. I'm not sure how to set up the messaging between the two. Does anyone have any tips?

How much information are you planing to send back and forth?
You will have to find a common protocol that both systems will understand.
Modbus comes to mind. Ethernet or Serial will depend on the current hardware you have.

Quantum ? That range is dead and buried, you will be looking at M580 if you need something with equiv functionality

You want to replace it and keep it, not sure how that works but anyway does Rockwell do EthernetIP ? M580 has EthernetIP modules
