Micrologix 1100 and datalogic 8530 barcode scanner

I am trying to get a datalogic 8530 barcode scanner to work through channel 0 of a micrologix 1100. I have the scanner configured at 9600 baud 1 N 8, channel 0 is also configured the same for ASCII. I have the scanner connected to the PLC with a 1761-CBL-PM02. I can get information from the scanner into hyper terminal, but can't seem to get anything in the buffer in the PLC.

Any help is appreciated.

I figured it out. I needed to add a null modem cable between the scanner and 1761-CBL-PM02 cable. Got my data the first try after that.

That 1761-CBL_PM02 is a null-modem cable. You just straighten it out.
Whatever works.
