I am using Mitsubishi GXWorks 2 with a FX3U

I must make additions to a program that is not documented very well.
Is there a way to tell which bits & word are used ??

I am looking for something similar to the usage button in RSLogix data windows.

Thanks

Hi jimtech67,

What is it, that is not very well documented?

Is it the systemregisters you have to use?

You can use symbolnames for your variable and when declaring them you chose what kind of type it should be eg. BOOL, INT, WORD, REAL etc.

What manual have you been reading?

A lot of the D & M (mostly M) registers do not have descriptions attached to them.
When I add a bit or word I do search to make sure the register is not used.
The used are registers are all over the place.
I am looking to display if register is used or not.

Hello,
If you go to the find/replace dropdown there is a device list option. The device list will tell you if the item is used as a contact, coil, or in the parameters.

Obviously if there are no comments associated with the item you won't see anything in the comment section.

Hope this helps,

Dave

THANKS !!!!!
That is exactly what I am looking for.
New again to Mitsubishi, last time I touched one was over 10 years ago.
Manual is huge and clunky with a lot of setting.
Its hard to find the simple stuff sometimes.

Hi jimtech67,

Sorry, I read your post wrong..

Se attached.
Go to "Find/Replace" -> "Device List"

And about the help. There is a good help file i think ;-)
