Mitsubishi symbols in IEC developer

Where is the symbol list entered for i/o in the IEC developer?
for example i want to call X1 input 1 with a comment? in gx developer it is in the device comment

It's in the tree list on the left hand side as Global_Vars
It makes sense to make all your variables as symbols
You can also document them as you program when you drop a contact coil onto the ladder & right click it brings up the variable selection/editor, if it is a global then select global, define it & save it
