Hello everybody,

I am working on a project where the customer has several panelviews (PV1000e, PV1400 standard, PV1400e) which have model numbers that are not in Allen-Bradley/Rockwell's documentation, and when I spoke to Rockwell about this, they did not recognize the part number at all.

I am trying to get some documentation on these OIT's if at all possible, so if anyone has any advice or wisdom about this legacy hardware, I would surely appreciate it!

Some of the model numbers are as follows:

Panelview 1400e - 1400ELKC6/E (Ser E, Rev E, Firmware 5.16)
Panelview 1400 - 1400LK14C1 (Ser B, Rev D, Firmware 4.41, Oct 2000)

Any and all comments welcome!

Those might be non-Rockwell stickers, like from a distributor or rebuilder or the customer's inventory system themselves.

Part numbers for PanelView Standard will always be "2711-" and for PanelView Enhanced will be "2711E-".

The PanelView "enhanced" terminals include only the 1000e and 1400e. There were some flatscreen upgrades available in the early 2000's for the 1400e to replace its CRT. PanelBuilder 1400e is the software for those terminals; I've never tried to run it in anything newer than Windows XP.

The PanelView 1400 Standard was just a jumbo sized PanelView Standard, which used PanelBuilder32 just like its smaller flat-screen 300/550/600/900/1000 siblings.

Terminals that old should have a migration plan in place to a modern PanelView Plus 7, or another HMI platform.

Panelview 1400e - 1400ELKC6/E (Ser E, Rev E, Firmware 5.16)
Panelview 1400 - 1400LK14C1 (Ser B, Rev D, Firmware 4.41, Oct 2000

Replace the "1400" with "2711" and replace the "L" with a dash, and those are correct part numbers.

"K" means Keypad, not Touchscreen.
"C" is Color; there were no monochrome versions of either
"6" is the designator for DH+ / RIO communications module on the PV Enhanced, which I think was the only one ever offered
"1" is the designator for RIO communications on the PV Standard.
