hallo all

can any one tell me about pactware for HART SYSTEM

how i can determin this smart device at chanal# in the muliplexr

from pactware .

how i can make complete project using HART multiplexr & pactware

HART design supports what HART calls "multidrop" for up to 15 devices on a daisy chained comm link.

Prosoft makes a HART backplane module for Rockwell's A-B products that supports this multidrop mode.

I suspect that any other PLC that supports HART probably supports the multidrop mode as well.

In 4 years on this forum, I have only encountered HART multidrop only once. It is either so easy to implement, that there are no questions, or very rare. I don't know which is the case.

Each field device can have its own device ID number. When the device ID number is 0, then the communication is point to point. If the device number is 1 through 15, then communication is assumed to be multidrop. Factory default has always been 0 on every field device I've ever had.
