panelmate 1700 to s7 300

Greetings,
I am trying to use a panelmate 1700 with a pc to mpi
adapter on a s7 315 dp. I am wondering if the mpi driver is only
for the siemens hmi adapter. I`m not having much luck.

There is a note on the page below that Siemens S7 PLCs are supported on the PanelMate ePro and PCPro products. My documentation for the Power Pro Series, which includes the 1700 only mentions the S5 line. My documentation is about ten years old, but there are hints that the 1700 and the S7 may not play well together.
