DF-1 Half-Duplex if the PanelView supports the RS-232-C/RS-422-A communications electrical ratings.

Please provide the complete catalog number of your PV.
Panelviews do not use message instructions to communicate with PLC's. They poll the PLC based on their database tags and protocol they support.
What exactly are you trying to do? What PLC do you have?

As other mentioned, not sure what you are trying to do here. But the GW1000-DHP1 gateway might be of help to you. It's a compact replacement for Allen-Bradley's 1770-KF2 interface. http://www.dhpgateway.com/
