The minimum device to use is an Allen-Bradley RS-232 to RS-485 converter:

1747-PIC
1761-NET-AIC
1747-UIC

The 1747-UIC is recommended because it is a USB device and will work with all modern operating systems.

The older devices (1747-PIC and 1761-NET-AIC) both require Windows XP SP2 or older operating system and a built-in serial port (no USB or expansion ports).
 
You are going to have to have some kind if converter to connect a RS232 port to a DH485 port.
If you PC has a real serial port then a 1747-PIC will work with a 1747-C10 cable. See pdf
If you don't have a real serial port then you will need a 1747-UIC ( USB to DH485 converter) See pdf.

Edit: Ken types faster then I do. I added the AIC+ pdf also.
