Quick Design Software
All,
I ended up emailing [email protected] asking for a link to download the Quick Design software and I got a quick reply with the following information and links. I don't know how long these links will stay active though. I hope this helps!
Below is the solution/explanation that we send out for all new Quick Designer inquires.
It contains links to a four day trial of Digital Quick Designer v3.7 and update patches.
Note: The Quick Designer trial version in this solution cannot open GE, CTC, or Ormec projects.
Pro‐face had a import tool developed that pulls most to all of your existing Quick Designer project into a GPPro‐EX
project. Typically minimal work is required to get this project to run with the same functionality as your previous Quick
Panel, but in a current model AGP3000 or GP4000.
The procedure requires you to open your project in Quick Designer in order to generate 2 files, the GPC.A file made
during a download, and a print report (.rtf). Read the Panel Station Import Tool manual first to see if your PLC driver is
supported. If the PLC protocol used in your Quick Designer project is not supported by the Panel station Import tool you
will need to select <no protocol> or a supported protocol before beginning the process. Check the PLC settings and the
PLC addressing carefully in all areas of the new GP‐Pro EX project to complete the conversion.
Below are the files required to perform the import to the AGP3000 or GP4000 series and GPPRO‐EX..
If you do not already have Quick Designer installed, then you will not need the first 3 files (the main install, and 2
patches)
