Read/Write Datablocks with SIMIT component

Hi,

I was wondering if someone knows wether it's possible to acces Data Blocks from te PLC program with the SIMIT read/write DataBlock components. Or how these components work at all. I don't seem to be able to figure it out on my own.

I'm using Tia-portal step 7 and PLCsim-advanced alongside SIMIT SP.
