RSEmulate 5000 v16 won't install!!!

Hi,

I'm trying to install RSEmulate 5000 v16 but it fails because I cannot remove a RSLinx module from slot 1 in RSEmulate 5000 v15. Since RSEmulate v15 must be uninstalled before I can get v16 installed, how can I remove that module?

I tried to use the Remove command from the Slot menu, but the RSLinx module doesn't remove even when I do that.

Can anybody help me?

You need to make sure that all RSLinx Classic services are stopped before uninstalling.

If you check the Control Panel -- Administrative Tools -- Services window, stop all RSLinx services.

Secret handshake--you may also have to stop "Harmony" services, which are used by RSLinx Classic.

Also, if you have RSLinx Enterprise running, stop that in the services.msc panel as well. Then you should be able to remove the module from Emulate 15.
