In the near future we shall be upgrading our safety system on one of our processes. The processes shall be 'zoned' with areas being approx. 15m*7m. The intention is to utilise (following feasibility study) a Pilz safety eye system to check the zones prior to power energisation following operator access.

My question is has anybody had much luck with this system or can anybody offer any advice with regards to sensor choice to check a zone.

Something to note is that currently the area is fairly dark approx. 400lux with OHC travelling above.

Regards
Nick
