Q1) Can I add a CP 343-1 CP (6GK73431EX300XE0) to the Right of the 314C-2DP Compact CPU (6ES73146CH040AB0) to allow programming access over Ethernet and to provide a Profinet/ethenet interface for linking to a Beijer HMI Screen ?

Q2) What is the difference between

CP 343-1 LEAN Comms Processor 6GK73431CX100XE0 @ £841.00

CP 343-1 CP Comms Processor 6GK73431EX300XE0 @1489.00

Apart for a cost of £648

1) See the link below for info on CP343-1 Lean, although you'll need to manually switch to the "Product Information" tab to see the details.

PG/OP access means you should be able to use it for Programming or HMI access. I don't know about the Beijer HMI specifically.

2) The Lean card can only be a PN I-Device. The regular CP343-1 can be both a controller AND a device (I-Device), and I think it also supports IRT. I'm sure there are other differences. There is also a CP343-1 Advanced, with an additional gbit interface, and even more IT type capabilities.
