FB980 -
Load - 2904 bytes
Working - 1952 bytes

This is a very old CPU. The specs you listed are probably from the latest CPU.
Max datablock no is 511. (for 314-6CF02-0AB0 which is a bit newer but not latest version)

Where did you find this information?
I was looking for ages and only came across was in the manual, 6ES7398-8FA10-8BA0

I have copies of most Siemens manuals.
The oldest S7-300 spec I have listed the data for 6ES7314-6CF02-0AB0.
edit: It is possible that FC, FB and DB numbers are even more limited in your 6ES7314-6CF01-0AB0 .
edit: The magic maximum numbers you can try are 255, 511, 1023, 2047 and 4095.

That online info that LD showed an example of is almost good enough.
You get max number of blocks, max block size, but not max block number.

I was wondering what you get for the 314 ? You can only download FC0 to FC7999 to the 317 I've shown in the previous posts.

Thanks guys, I tried downloading the project (the OB and FB) to a 317-2DP and everything downloaded ok.
So based on what you have said it seems to be down to the firmware version running on the CPU.

We have a load of CPUs around, how would be the best way to quickly find out what restrictions we have for each of the CPUs?

Also, did the manual tell you specifically what the spec was for the 6CF02?

If you use STLs advice, select "Technical Support info", and then the "Technical/CAx data" tab. It will give you the exact information:

DB1-DB511
FC0-FC511
FB0-FC511

You can determine the limit by running the following code in the plc and then monitoring MW100. Make sure there are no other blocks in the plc though.....
