Good afternoon All,

Today I ran into an OLD one - I have a customer who has a spiral blast freezer controlled by a rather antique S5 PLC. Connected to the S5 by what appears to be a serial link is a device labled "Siemens PC32M". On the other side of this thing is a VGA screen and a IDE floppy drive. Also the custom built control panel connects to this device via what looks like an old AT keyboard plug. Best guess is that his is some kind of PC providing supervisory control for the freezer.
Long story short the freezer don't go and there is no display on the VGA screen. Replacing the screen does not help. (nor the FDD).

Does anyone remember what this is and can you provide me some info which which to look for a form of replacement.

Thanks

OK - I got bored & figured it doesn't work anyway so I ripped the housing off - After a quick dismantle... This is an old 486 PC !!
The IDE hard drive has failed but is physically bigger than a 2.5" HDD and smaller than a 3.5" HDD but fixable.
