Hi everyone,
We are using ET200S I/Os which are controlled by S7-317F-PN/DP CPU.
One of the modules acts strangely. It is 6ES7138-4DD00-0AB0 and normally it seem to behave normal except that if powered on but not talked to (no commands) for some time (about an hour), it stops responding. It is used to produce pulse train driving small actuator. Cycle time is very long and there will be long periods without activity for this particular actuator. Is there anything that we may have overlooked? We could of course send it a pulse forward then pulse reverse every 15-20 minutes but this is ridiculous. Used IM is 151 HF (6ES7151-1BA01-0AB0). The manual (ET 200S Technological Functions, Operating Instructions 04/2008) mentions some restrictions of the 2Pulse module with certain IM's but it seems not to be the case here. This problem is not one corrected by the firmware updates either. Any ideas?
