Siemens S5

...anybody know where I could brush up on basics for S5 editing , hooking up cables, going online, making small changes , like adding a sensor....resaving the program....restarting ..etc etc...saving new file and backup floppy etc etc .....been a few years since I used it.....possible job offer in the works....all I need to know is these basics....to add things to program or make minor changes and also troubleshooting.....

also if I bought my own cheap laptop ....what kind would be sufficient ?,,,and also any place to get the S5 software online cheap...also cables...maybe get an old S5 somewhere...so I could practise....and always have it with me...??

Hi,

You can buy Step5 by SIEMENS or PG2000 by Process Informatik, or VIPA soft or IBHSoftec, etc..

For the manual, I recomend you to find S5 by Hans Berger
