Siemens S7cpu224 plc

Just started using some siemens plc"s _ I have S7 v5.5 sp2 on my pc, have tried connecting , but I am not sure how to configure the comm driver, I have a PPI serial cable that I am trying to use, [this is my first siemens Rodeo] Help

The S7200 is an older (discontinued) family, and isn't supported by the standard S7 v5.5 software. You need S7 Microwin.

The S7 1200 is the family that replaced it, which uses S7 Basic (current version is V13 SP1).

My friend for cpu 224 it is a s7 200 series and s7 5.5v is for use s7 300/400 plc.For cpu 224 is Microwin Sp5 like that software.
