Siemens Step5 instruction

Hi Guys,

Could anyone please help me understand how this instruction in step5 works: ----(#)---- it has the address F1.5 in particular for the program I viewed. It looks like a coil with number sign in the middle, but it's in the middle of the rung.

This (#) symbol is used in edge detection circuits.
In the attached document you will see an application for a S7-115U.

Its just middle coil.

Code:
 i2.0 f2.0  q2.0
--||---(#)---()

if i2.0 is true then f2.0 and q2.0 are true.

dchartier just posted how it can be used to get edge detection.
