Surge protect for Micrologix 1100?

it depends,

if the power at the plant is subject to brown outs and power surges, yes.

we always use them. we use corcom by tyco electronics.

we had several plcs to loose their memory due to power surges
and brown outs.

regards,
james

We fit surge protectors in the Ethernet line as well on any Ethernet enabled PLC's. We use the Novaris units, but several other manufacturers do one (I think N-Tron do one)
