Hi All

While uploading a source code(program) from a machine (I have a copy, many copies) the uploaded version differed from the version I know is in the controller (1212 controller). I had been online with in the day before; when I brought PC to shop I didn't realize the charge cable wasn't plugged into strip...no charge, laptop died and I know I saved the project but can't find the exact copy. Anyhow, I simply did an upload into an older program.
However--it didn't pull up the PID Compact routine. I know they still exist but I can't view them anymore. They used to be in a subfolder called cyclic PID and now that's empty.
I did a second upload with a version of the program that still had them and made sure they uploaded--they did but now there on the tree but not in the section deemed cyclic PIDs with it's OB named Cyclic Interrupts. All of the OB and FCs are all stacked in the same section now instead of organized. But they all point to their respective OB but not separated anymore. Is this an issue? I'm assuming the controller knows where everything is but this is just the way I see them but everything is performing correctly.
Still going thru the ins and out of TIA portal as I'm more of an AB guy.
(Don't get me started as to why the HMI won't upload, only the controller)

Thoughts?

Yep

You will have to put them back in your appropriate groups
It’s fixed in v17. Although I haven’t tried it
But that’s the way it works.

Thanks...is this just a visual issue from my part and not an actual operational issue--in other words, if I left them alone it would be fine. However, If i copied and pasted them in the appropriate folders it would primarily be for my benefit and not performance. The scan is et in the controller ...these cyclic run all the time no matter where on the tree they're located?

The folders/groups are 100% for visual organization, and don't affect the scan in any way.

The folder information wasn't even downloaded to the PLC (and therefore couldn't be uploaded again) until V17. As JRW said, I know it is done now for 1500's (with new FW), haven't tried with a 1200 yet.
