I have a couple pieces of moveable equipment, I would like to put these on my network. Question is, has anyone here used water tight rj45 connectors? If so did you have luck with them? what brand did you use? This equipment will not be moved alot maybe twice a month, in short they wont be plugged in and unplugged multiple times a day.

How water tight does it have to be? I've always liked the Harting HAN-Modular (PDF Catalog download link) style connectors, and they are IP65 rated. They also hold up to a bit of physical abuse, pretty sturdy on the outside. Inside you can put numerous different things including RJ45 Modules. And I think it is a pretty standard housing dimension across the industry.
