writing time to a Logix5000

This may be easy but I'm more familiar with 500's than 5000's. I want to write the time from a 500 to a 5000 to synchronize them. I messaged it over, but now what? There are no status bits.

You need to use the SSV to set the PLC clock

This isn't a specific answer, but most folks overlook the Logix Clock Update Tool.

(Select RSLogix as the Product Type when you search)

Run it on a workstation or server that has network access to the controllers, and let it do all the work.

Yes, that´s true, I use the update tool to sync 17 compact and control logix in my plant.
