Mistake

The receive error was My cable that wasn't connected, it was still connected on my PC for hyperterminal

But the problem in the VAT remains... starting in DBB32 with an E

My feeling is that the problem is the µAWS meter, I think I'll need some support of ELOVIS, the company of those meters...

This might be a good idea.

What happens to the error-status-length data if you connect/disconnect?

I think you are right. It is a simple ascii protocol. With the RS485 interface you may read out all TDS units with one CP340. Poll the units cyclic. Only there is no error checking in this protocol, so if a bit "fall" due interference or something you will receive wrong data.

Expert please tell me how to Poll the units cyclic, I cannot find parameter in function which it I can set the address for slave units?

Hi Combo,
Sorry but I am a newbie in Step7, STL is difficult for me...I try to read your code but it seems so big project to me..
Could you give me some guide to write a program which function as belows (I think it simple with you but for me it difficult because the first time I do this, please guide me in LAD):
- Hardware: CPU 314c-2DP + CP340 connected to 05 indicators (can be addressed) through RS485, 2wire, ascii 8data bits+1stop bit.
- Step7 program:
+ Send code <STX>PA<CR> (eg: ^BP!^M for addres 1) to Poll for data from indicators
+ Receive data return from indicators.
(I can do the setting for HW already)

Hi all,
at last my project is running...i can collect the data to my laptop through MPI (using USB/MPI converter) right now. I wanna go futher by using WinCC7.0 to view this data (I store in DB11). How can I assign this data to Tags and display it in WinCC? Experts please say something....many thanks!
