Red Lion G310C2 Extract problem

Hi all.

Thank you in advance.

Been fighting with this new HMI Red Lion G310-C2.

We bought a spare and need to download the database for safe keeping and some modification to code and then upload.

Problem is unable to download (extract) the from the unit.

Methods used

Updated Crimson versions 2 and 3, software to the latest versions

Checked configurations all seem to be fine

USB
USB cable and checked if drivers are installed correctly, yes.

On extraction error
Error - the device dose not contain an uploadable image.

NETWORK
Tried through network failed.
Able to Ping and get a response
opened using browser, it works

checked the setting on crimson, all settings correct.

On extraction still get error
Error - the device dose not contain an uploadable image.

Can anyone help or point me to in the right direction.

The Error describes your problem.
Whoever downloaded to the panel did not have "support upload" checked when they downloaded to the HMI.

You need to take the original or any .cd3 file you wnat to run and re-download.
If you want someone behind you to be able to upload you need to make sure it is checked.

Download = send to HMI
Upload = Extract = get from HMI

This is how Redlion (and in my experience most systems) describes the functions.

I agree with the previous post that states that the download was done without the Menu Item Link -> Support Upload checked. You will need the original configuration file.
