Hello everyone, my son and I are working on building a metal lathe. I been waiting for a motor/speed controller donor from a treadmill. I finally got one. A GE T2100. I salvaged a Baldor 3hp 3phase motor - Mod#: 33-3111W757 with a Baldor MicroFlex drive 9A - Mod#: FMH2A09-TREN43EZ.
I went on ABB website and downloaded their programing SW - Mint WorkBench V5.5. I also downloaded their programing instructions. The problem I am having is that I cannot access the microflex drive. I changed link speeds for COM1 several time and it always comes back with the same message ; "Controller not found". I am able to select "MicroFlex" from the motor controllers list in the WorkBench SW. Everything looks ok on the motor controller side when you apply power to it. No errors. I even checked my cable. I was wondering if perhaps it was bad but no it is ok. What am I missing or what am I doing wrong? ABB no longer support any of the legacy analog motor drives from Baldor. I called them but they will not provide any support for the product.
I understand the product is too old but if anyone has any knowledge and experience about this Drive that they could share I would greatly appreciate it.
Thx
