Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows if it will be ok to have a DeviceNet Daisy Chain with the Nodes not in order.
Example: Scanner Node 0 going to node 7 then to node 6 then to node 5.
Does anyone see a problem with this.

Thanks,

I've never had any issues with nodes out of order. Once they are all found it should be good.

It's physically a parallel signal bus, so every device sees every transmission at the same time on the wire.

As pattern-recognizing humans we love to see things in sequence, but it does not matter at all to the DeviceNet network devices.
