Panelview Plus Standard

I was creating an HMI program to interface with several different machines and when I went to create the application I got the following error:

*** Start FactoryTalk Linx Conversion Messages ***

ERROR: Too many shortcuts. Description: PanelView Plus 7 Standard or Compact Machine Edition applications cannot have more than one shortcut.

*** End FactoryTalk Linx Conversion Messages ***

I was using Version 8.2

If I upgrade the firmware to a higher level, such as Version 10, does this limit go away?

Unfortunately, a Panelview Plus Standard can only communicate with 1 PLC.

You'll have to upgrade to the Performance model to add multiple PLCs.

Or, have one PLC communicate with the HMI and have that PLC communicate the HMI data to the other PLCs.
Not the most elegant solution, but I was forced to make it work once with a few CompactLogix PLCs.
