Hi,

I'm currently having issued with a PowerFlex 252. It was working fine last week, and suddenly decided to stop working. When I go into properties in the IO tree a "The software has encountered an unexpected error." message appears; however, I can still inhibit the module, synchronize, upload and download, I can ping it, already changed its IP address in case there was a duplicate, but still get a triangle with an exclamation point on it.

Has anyone encountered something similar or have any suggestions about this issue?

Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you mean a PowerFlex 525.

Take a look at the technote ID: BF17731
I would try to install the latest Drive AOP from the Rockwell download center.
Also try getting the latest Patches from rockwell.

Yes, PowerFlex 525. I tried the solutions from that technote, but it is still not working.

The thing about this drive is that it's next to four other 525s which are working and don't have the "unexpected error".
