I have an old machine with an M7. I may have the program
But since I cant open it without this software, I'm stuck
Anyone still have this software and can try to read my code?

Thanks

As far as I know, M7 was programmed with Borland C/C++.
Can you possibly find the Borland C/C++ source files somewhere in the STEP7 project folder ?

edit: It should be in the project folder in the \s7cm7\ subfolder.

I think its there- you have a working version
of M7-SYS and Step7??
or know someone that can look at it?

Unfortunately I dont have M7-SYS.
I was thinking that maybe you could fish out the source files, and maybe open them as text files.
Or, Borland C++ 5.5 should be free, so maybe you can open the M7 files with it.

I even asked friends at Siemens USA for assistance, unfortunately this went nowhere.
I had to replace with an updated Siemens system
I couldn't find M7 Sys software

I was able to keep the I/O and use Simotion C.
My system was a textile machine with 611a drives
